Nash Krst (Our Cross) is an Orthodox Christian youth group supported by St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Hamilton, Ontario. Nash Krst is a self-directed group of young adults dedicated to fostering a supportive community in which to explore and embrace the teachings and traditions of Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Their mission is to empower and unite its members through various initiatives that include weekly gatherings and discussion after Divine Liturgy, seminars, sponsored lectures and pilgrimages.
Members of Nash Krst also contribute to our church community. They can always be called on to lend a helping hand. They built the patio behind our holy church for all parishioners to enjoy and participated in the spring cleaning necessary to beautify our church hall and grounds in 2024. Each year, they run a food drive for homeless shelters and regularly support fundraising efforts for the non-profit humanitarian organization Serbs for Serbs Canada.
Nash Krst celebrates their Slava on June 3 to honour their heavenly protectors and great benefactors, St. Emperor Constantine and his mother St. Helen.
