Church Hall Building Committee

In 2018, a design to renovate and expand our existing hall was approved by our congregation. Since then, the Building Committee has been working to create a facility in which future generations may gather and one that will enhance our hall rental and catering services, all of which help to finance our religious needs. The current Church Hall Building Committee consists of: Vladimir Sobot, President; Branko Bibic; Miroslav Cucuz.

Our Building Committee has worked steadfastly to obtain the necessary approvals and permits to proceed in spite of various legal challenges. At the end of 2024, the Committee finally obtained a clear title to all St. Nicholas Church lands. If the Committee receives confirmation from the Church School congregation that this project remains a go-ahead, we will then apply for the necessary building permits. Once approved, we will move closer to the start of construction.

Fundraising Committee

To realize the material goals of the Building Committee, the Fundraising Committee was established. Chaired by Dragica Sobot, this sub-committee includes: Anka Manojlovich; Chris Trifunovic;  Zora Karic; Rose Loncar; Miroslav Cucuz; Mima Ivosevic;  John Rusich; and Branko Bibic.

The St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral Annual Golf Tournament is the most important event in the calendar year to raise awareness and financial support for the expansion and renovation of the church hall.
