St. Nicholas Cathedral Choir

The St. Nicholas Cathedral Choir upholds the mission of the Serbian Singing Federation (SSF) to perpetuate and promote the cultural, liturgical and ethnic music of our Serbian forefathers.

Since our cathedral’s consecration in 1965, the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Cathedral Choir has sung responses to the Holy Divine Liturgy every Sunday at 10 a.m. When it came into existence, the choir was under the capable directorship of Slavko Zubac. Roger Todorovic, assisted by Peter Bila, would go on to assume directorship in 1968.

In 1972, Protinica Mira Stojsavljevic arrived at our parish and became directress. She remains in this role today, over five decades later.

In December of 2024, our annual Board meeting was held, electing the following as our 2025 Board Members:

Become a Choir Member

Our church choir sings responses and prayers during Divine Liturgy. Every Sunday after liturgy, we host a Fellowship Hour and invite all faithful to meet over coffee, refreshments and baked goods.

Practice is held on Monday evenings at 7 p.m. No matter your experience or age, we welcome new members! Together, we can share the holy experience of praising God through song.

The St. Nicholas Cathedral Choir holds annual concerts and participates in choral festivals and commemorative events. Throughout, we share the joy of song and exemplify the unifying power of music. 

Weddings

On request, the choir will sing at weddings. Please email us if you would like to make arrangements for our choir to sing at your wedding.
