Circle of Sisters Slava 2025

On Sunday, October 26th, 2025, we gathered to celebrate the Slava of St. Petka of the Circle of Serbian Sisters of St. Nicholas - Queen Mary with a beautiful afternoon banquet.

A full hall of parishioners, together with this year's Kuma, Ljubica Manojlovic, made the celebration really special. We are pleased to share that longtime sister Nena Dabic has graciously stepped forward to be the Kuma next year for our Slava.

We were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests, including Milka Culic, President of the Circle of Sisters at St. Nicholas Barton, and Chris Trifunović, President of the Winona Chetniks Ravna Gora Circle of Sisters.

Also in attendance was Nenad Kuruc, Member of Parliament for Hamilton East-Stoney Creek, who offered kind words recognizing the Sisters - especially our lovely KSS President Sonja Hajdu - for her invaluable contributions to our community.

A warm thank you to all the Sisters who lovingly prepared the Slava meal, and to the energetic members of Naš Krst who graciously served and stayed afterward to help with cleanup. Your cheerful spirit and teamwork are greatly appreciated!

The joyful sounds of the Niagara Falls Tamburica Orchestra filled the hall, creating a lively atmosphere that kept everyone smiling and tapping their feet.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our dedicated choir members for uplifting us with their beautiful singing during both the church service and the banquet.

Finally, a sincere thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this very first Slava - a memorable day marking the beginning of many blessed years to come!
